The Ten Years That Were and the One That Will Be.

2010.

So much has happened in the past 10 years.

I'd be lying if I said it was all good. The past ten years have had a few rough spots, but I can definitely say that I wouldn't change any of it - they helped to shape my life. And, thankfully, some of the best things (3 people to be exact) came into my life during the last decade.

2000
The year I graduated from high school and started college.

2001
Transferred colleges and met Jon.

2002
Started dating Jon in January and we were engaged in June.
My grandparents celebrated their 50th anniversary.
Continued full time college classes, and began working full time as an administrative assistant.

2003
Jon and I bought our first house in January and we married in June.
Plugged away with college classes, and and working two jobs (one full time and one part time).

2004
Found out I was pregnant in February.
Transferred college again (this time to St. Kates WEC).
Gave birth to our precious son in November.

2005
We moved to our second house, a little further from the cities.
I was laid off, which threw a huge kink in our plans, but was something that made us stronger.

2006
Began a new job, as a paraprofessional, which confirmed my passion for working with students.
Became pregnant again in August.

2007
Started Student teaching in January. I loved it!!
Gave birth to our darling daughter, and graduated from college in May.
Got my "almost dream job" in July and began my career as a teacher.

2008
Many marriages and births in our extended family.
Jon and I celebrated 5 years of wedded bliss.
My teaching position was reduced even more (but I was, and am, still grateful to be there).
Grandpa went to heaven in September. I reminisced.

2009
Jon won awards from both his company and corporate, which allowed us to take two trips in March - one to Chicago, and one to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
Darling daughter turned 2! No more babies in our house (slightly sad moment).
I was bumped from my job in April, and in July was notified that I was rehired (praise God).
Removed the kids from daycare, and spent the entire summer enjoying each other.
Started back at SFAS in July.
Tyler started pre-school and turned 5!

2010...
I don't know what's in store for the next year, but honestly, I am hoping for a few changes - some in my control, and others not so much. Thankfully, we are so blessed by fantastic family and friends, that no matter what happens, we will embrace it.
Also, in 2010 we will have a kindergartner in our midst - oh my!

Here's to an outstanding next 365 days!
