Berry Pickin'

Sunday, Tyler, Soph, and I went to Bauer's Berry Farm to pick strawberries. I had a friend who had mentioned going on Saturday to a different farm, and her and her girls had a blast. So, I thought we might give it a try. About 11 am we made our way to the farm to pick some berries.

Honestly, I had no idea what to expect, but we had a fantastic time. We left with a huge tray of deliciously ripe berries (for less than $8) and some great memories that continued once we got home. We had berries with our lunch, dipped them in chocolate to enjoy later, and made a strawberry pie (good, but saucy - needed more thickener). What a fun day!!

Crazy to find out, after we were home that another good friend, along with her family, picked berries at the same farm only a few hours before us. You can read about their experience too - just in case you aren't convinced to try it yourself.

Ok I need to know where you got the recipe for the pie, I've been looking for a good one. I froze a ton of our berries. Also, what a great idea to do them in chocolate. Didn't even think of that!!! I loved that place and you are SO right, so reasonably priced and fun for a few hours too! Looking forward to Fri. I'll shoot you a note tomorrow so we can make a plan!
