Cookie Time (Tradition 2)

For the past two weekends we have done one of my favorite holiday past times - baking. I love all of the goodies that we usually only make around this special time. I love the family, the smells (and tastes), and mostly the conversations to pass the time.

Tyler, Sophie, Greatsie, and I spent the last two Friday nights at my parent's house. We were able to enjoy some casual family dinners, as well as, fun and conversation. The baking began bright and early on both Saturdays.

Weekend One we made:
Sugar cookies
Oatmeal cookies
Chocolate chip cookies (because Tyler really wanted to help make them)
Nut goodie bars
Peanut butter balls dipped in chocolate
Divinity (didn't turn out very well, but we sure had fun trying)
Lemon poppyseed bread
Snickerdoodles
Russian tea cakes
Holiday Rice Krispies
Chocolate dipped mixed nuts

Weekend Two:
Peanut butter blossoms
Popcorn cake
Chocolate chip oatmeal cookies
Rochester cookies
Rollo pretzel treats
More chocolate dipped mixed nuts
Chocolate cherry "Mice"
What are your favorite holiday goodies? Mine are the peanut blossom cookies. Yum!
