Lasts

Today was the last day of school.

It was the last day of teaching in the room that has become my school home.

It was the last day of teaching in public school for three of my wonderful colleagues. (Happy Retirement, Ladies!)

It was the last day of me teaching part-time.

It was the first last-day that I haven't been worried about a job for the next year!

I am blessed! It was an awesome year, and I can hardly wait for the next one to begin. It's a good thing that I don't have to wait long - 48 days for inservice, and 51 for the first day of school.

Great Expectations
It's time to say good-bye
Our year has come to an end.
I've made more cherished memories
and many more new friends.

I've watched your child learn and grow
and change from day to day.
I hope that all the things we've done
Have helped in some small way.

So it's with happy memories
I send them out the door,
With great hope and expectations
for what next year holds in store.
