Moving On

18 hours or 2 shifts. That's all that Jon has left at McD's.

Honestly, I'm a little sad. Excited for change, but sad.

Most people there were like family (you know, the ones that you see a few times a year but yet feel instantly connect to). Yes, there were a few that left a sour taste, but deep down we both still cared for them.

However, it wasn't the people that could make Jon stay or that caused him to search for other employment.

It was family. No more weekends.

It was self growth. Learning something new.

It was professional growth. Having a place to move within his career.

Hopefully, these driving desires will be the reality. And a happier and more fulfilled husband.

But, honestly, right now the nerves have set in. We are both anxious for what is about to come. The change.

The familiarity of the past 13 years is about to be gone.

But, decisions were made and we are moving on...
