Have you ever had one of those days where you just want to do something? Anything?
Yesterday was one of those days for me. Jon didn't have to work and I really wanted to do something as a family. Something different. Something fun. We talked about going a musuem, MOA, the zoo, but all seemed so impractical since it was late afternoon and all were semi-expensive adventures for the short amount of time.
Frustrated, bored, and antsy, I decided that if were going to stay home we were atleast going to do something different. So, off to the store I went...
I purchased meat, fry-able goodies, chocolate, and strawberries (the rest that we would need, I already had at home).

Our yummy food, almost ready to eat.
When I got home I started put out candles, opened wine, and started to prepare our fancy dinner. The kids (and the hubby) changed into nicer clothes - as requested by me, and waited to see what was next. I am sure that they all were thinking that I was slightly "off my rocker", but by the end of the evening, I think that they really enjoyed our special at-home event.
Dancing in the kitchen.
Tyler enjoying his apple juice in the "fancy" glass.
We had a wonderful fodue, complete with pre-dinner dancing, a delicious dinner, even better dessert, wine (apple juice for the kiddos), music, and wonderful company. Very fun!

I love this idea. I love that you had them dress up too! How fun! And I could go for some of the dessert fondue about now :)
This is a very cute idea. I think I am going to try it on Valentines night because I am watching "everyone's" kids so they can go out...lol.
Which is fine, because my mayor still has not built me my convent so I have the time.
Uggh.
