State Fair 2008

One week ago today we made our annual trek to the Minnesota State Fair. It was a day later than planned, thanks to an outbreak of strep throat in our house, but I am glad that we were able to go. It is a family tradition (25 years and counting), and I look forward to making memories there each year.

We arrived to the fairgrounds around 8:20 am and we hit the ground running. We visited some animal barns (saw 3-day-old piglets, and a huge boar), had a corndog at 9:00am, people watched, went on some family friendly rides, saw some snakes, shopped, and, of course, ate yummy food (thank goodness for sharing). We left the fair, exhausted, at about 4:00pm.
On a side note, I have added more pictures to some of the recent posts. Be sure to take a look. :-)
