A Day in the City

Today we ventured into the city. I LOVE the city. The variety of people, the eclectic shops, the quaint eateries, the art, the culture, the skyline, the crowds, the traffic - it wouldn't be the city if lacked any of the above - and I love it all.

We met Auntie Lauren at her house in Uptown around 11:30. After Tyler and Sophie inspected her apartment we decided that lunch was in order. Green Mill was the restaurant of choice. It was a nice time. Once we completed our yummy lunches, Auntie had the idea to visit the Sculpture Garden. I hadn't been there since 5th grade. I enjoyed re-experiencing such great pieces of Minneapolis art and Tyler and Sophie enjoyed some fresh air and space to run.

Our day with Auntie wouldn't have been complete without a special treat. So, we headed to get ice cream. It was delicious! And, the best part was watching Sophie - my little ice cream connoisseur. Too cute.
It was a wonderful day! Thank you Auntie Lauren for spending such an exciting afternoon with us. Oh, and thanks for wearing them out. It was a very peaceful drive home.
