Princeton Kleins

Well, it has been a few days since the last post. Over the past week we were blessed to be able to spend time with many members of my family. We had dinner with the Greats on Friday, spent Saturday with my parents (mostly just lounging at their house), and we saw the Princeton Kleins twice. We had a fish fry with them on Saturday and we went to Buca's basketball game on Sunday. Monday night we were able to visit with Auntie Connie and Uncle Tim.

I am so grateful to have such a wonderful extended family. More grateful then words will ever explain. Each of these people mean so much to Jon, Tyler, Sophie, and me. Today, I want to focus on one group of important family members - the Princeton Kleins - Randy, Kim, Kate, and Kris/Buca (don't worry - the rest will be highlighted soon - the posts are already working in my head).

Katie, walking her horse Lucy, with Tyler on back for a ride.

Buca, number 23, during a b-ball game. Go Tigers!

Kim, Kate, Kris, and Tyler inside the toybox that they gave him for Christmas.

Uncle Randy with one of his biggest fans, Sophie.

Randy is my godfather. I still remember when they told us that they were married (they eloped). I was so excited. I was finally going to be able to call Kim, Auntie Kim. I was thirteen when they started their family.

Katie and Kris have always been so important in my life. They were like the siblings that I never had. Randy, Kim, Kate and Kris were always there to support me. They drove to many high school events. Randy escorted me when I ran for royalty. Kate and Kris were in our wedding. And, they were some of our first visitors when we had both of the kids. I have truly enjoyed being a part of their lives and I can only imagine the good things yet to come.

However, the highlight has been watching both of them interact with our children. Tyler and Sophie love all of them. Katie is Tyler's godmother. Kris has the energy to keep up with Tyler. Sophie likes to watch and giggle as they play (while she is perched on Kate's hip).

Thank you Randy, Kim, Kate, and Kris for loving us. We have enjoyed many fun times with you and we are looking forward to many more (Tyler is hoping for the "big zoo" soon). We love you all!

I can't believe how old Katie is because I too remember when she was born and remember many afternoons of her at your mom's house playing.
