Happy "Balentime's" Day

Today is Valentine's Day, but we have been celebrating around here for the past few days. On Tuesday Sophie was sick (with an ear infection), so I stayed home with her and Tyler. When sissa (as Tyler often calls her) was sleeping, Tyler and I made valentine crowns. It was nice to spend time with him and we both enjoyed our craft. Tuesday evening we went to the Greats (my grandparents) to share pizza and cupcakes for Valentine's Day. Grandma Sue joined us and we had a fun evening, complete with our crowns.

Grandma Sue and Sophie are all smiles in their crowns.

Tonight we are having a very relaxed evening. Like my friend, Samara, has said, "Everyday is heart day to me" and I whole heartedly agree. Tonight we are enjoying each others company and celebrating our love for our family (and if you really know us, you know that we pretty much find any reason to celebrate our family - even if it is for "Happy Tuesday"). Jon made a wonderful dinner (pork tenderloin for us, pizza for the kids - per Tyler's request), and he and Tyler made a delicious cake. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful husband and two fantastic children. We have truly been blessed.

Happy Valentine's Day and Happy Everyday!
