Second Post - Long Time Coming

Wow. I had really good intentions when I started our family blog, but time has completely escaped me. So, I guess I have a lot to recap.

Family week was absolutely wonderful! We started at MOA (as the last post stated). We spent Tuesday at the Minnesota Zoo. Tyler loved seeing all the animals and going on the monorail train ride. Sophie was such a sport as we draged her along our second family adventure. Wednesday Tyler and I went to "playschool" at my cousin Katie's middle school. Tyler had fun playing, but the highlight for him was getting to eat school lunch with his Katie-girl. On Friday our family packed up for a trip to International Falls. We had a fantastic time seeing Grandpa Frank, Grandma Wendy, and Bama. Uncle Steven wasn't able to come up with us so we had lunch with him on our way back home. It was only the second time Tyler has made the long trip, and it was a first for Sophie. Both completely exceeded our expectations and we are hoping to visit again in the Spring.

Seeing as I have much updating to do, let's move onto November. Our Tiny Man turned 3! He had two parties - a friend party at McDonald's and a family party at our house. The celebrations were great, and it is always fun to watch him grow into such a funloving, energetic, politely, and loving guy. The future has great things in store for him!

December has flown by (can't believe that today is the last day 2007)! Our second quarter is complete and it is hard to think that I have completed half of my first year as a teacher. It has been so wonderful (not easy, but I never thought it would be). Jon has continued to have much success at work and has been nominated for some regional awards. He deserves them all. :-)

Chirstmas was nice, but came too quickly. Both Jon and I felt rushed this year. However, none of that mattered on Christmas Eve at church. I sat through the service feeling so blessed. All four of us sat together and I loved sharing my favorite service with my children. Christmas morning was priceless too, as Tyler came running into our bedroom to tell us that Santa had brought him presents. Both days were very special and we were able to start some great traditions (Holidazzle, sledding, & ice skating just to name a few).

Now for some pictures...
