Seven
Today, sweet son, you turn seven. I remember vividly the day of your birth - actually thinking you'd be born one day earlier. You came into this world bright eyed. You were ready to take it all in.
Seven years later that hasn't changed. You are still soaking up life, loving learning new things, and trying new experiences.
May you continue having a zest for life. Sharing. Loving others. Learning. Trying. Questioning. Being you.

White Sharks
The season ended today with a jamboree. Jon has now 4 season of coaching under his belt. And Tyler has 4 seasons of playing - it shows - he's really coming into his own as a soccer player.

Apple Orchard 2011
Today we made our annual trek to the apple orchard with Auntie Carly and Uncle Mike. We met them Aamodt's Apple Orchard and quickly the kids wanted to wonder in the hay maze and ride on the tractor wagon. So far, so good.
After exploring the activities, we decided to grab a quick apple treat inside the building and then get busy doing what we came to do - pick apples. Here is where the day quickly failed....
As we got the area to buy our picking bag, no one was manning the booth. There was no sign, so Jon went into the building to get the scoop. Sadly, he came back with the news that they were picked out. Seriously. So, we scoured the rows for a few pathetic apples so that we could take the obligatory photos, and then headed bowling.
Although the apple picking was a "fail," the afternoon activities and bowling were a blast.
So grateful that we have the apple orchard tradition with Auntie Carly and Uncle Mike. Hopefully next year, we leave with apple.

Preschooler
Last Thursday (9/8/11) we got to "peek at preschool" and go for a practice bus ride...
And today it's official. Sophie started preschool. I am excited for her year of learning and can hardly believe that next year she'll be riding with us in the morning to SFAS for kindergarten.
